Gig Watch: November 2025

Shows not to miss in and around Boston for the month of November.

A busy fall continues with a packed November gig calendar across Boston and beyond. Some of my picks below.
11/4 – Sunami / Scowl @ Royale
It’s a hardcore double-header for your Election Day with genre-bending four-piece Scowl and beatdown supergrounp Sunami. Bring a helmet.
11/5 – Boris @ Paradise Rock Club
Japanese metal mainstays Boris hit the road again with old friends Uniform for a tour celebrating 20 years of fan-favorite record Pink.
11/8 – Oneida / Thalia Zedek Band / Bong Wish @ Deep Cuts
It’s always a good time to check in with NYC experimental rockers Oneida, especially with support from local legends Thalia Zedek and Bong Wish.
11/9 – Flock of Dimes @ The Rockwell
Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner brings a rare tour for solo project Flock of Dimes to Somerville.
11/10 – Danny Brown @ Big Night Live
Detroit rapper Danny Brown is back this year with a tour behind highly-anticipated sixth LP Stardust – a teamup with rising names in the hyperpop and left-field electronic sphere including tourmates Femtanyl and Underscores.
11/12 – Ulcerate @ Sonia
New Zealand’s Ulcerate bring their extreme, disorientingly heavy brand of death metal to Cambridge with support from Spirit Possession and Obsidian Tongue.
11/12 – Jens Lekman @ The Sinclair
Or, for a different Wednesday night vibe, catch up with Swedish singer-songwriter Jens Lekman for his first Boston-area show in eight years at Sinclair.
11/13 – Major Stars @ Deep Cuts
Everyone’s favorite local psych-jam collective Major Stars hit Deep Cuts to celebrate the release of their new Drag City LP More Colors of Sound.
11/14 – Geese @ Paradise Rock Club
Yeah you don’t need me to tell you about this one. Indie rock’s hottest ticket of the year is NYC’s Geese, packing out rooms across the country behind their wild new record Getting Killed. Resale tickets running a totally normal sum of $440 at press time. Good luck!
11/15 – The Croaks / Daughter of the Vine / Happy The Clown / Winds of Alluria @ The Lilypad
Local scene mainstay Kris Thompson celebrates his birthday with a stacked Lilypad gig of psychedelic wonders, complete with a night of projection art from Gary War.
11/15 – Hallelujah the Hills @ Deep Cuts
And across town, blog favs Hallelujah the Hills stage a birthday party of their own, marking 20 years as a band with what promises to be a special set.
11/20 – Weakened Friends @ The Sinclair
Portland indie rockers Weakened Friends head to The Sinclair as they near the end of a fall tour supporting new LP Feels Like Hell.
11/21-22 – Letters to Cleo @ Paradise Rock Club
Nineties power-pop icons Letters to Cleo stage a pre-Thanksgiving weekend takeover at the ‘Dise.
11/24 – Patti Smith @ Orpheum Theater
Punk icon Patti Smith and her band mark the 50th anniversary of landmark record Horses with a full-album performance at the Orpheum.
11/30 – Earl Sweatshirt @ Big Night Live
And to close out the month, enigmatic, ever-compelling MC Earl Sweatshirt heads to town touring new record Live Laugh Love which…doesn’t sound much like the title implies.
