Boston’s Week-That-Would’ve Been – 3/22-3/28

Surveying the weekly live music void in the pandemic age.
So then, how’s everyone doing with another show-free week? I know I’ve purchased no less than five digital live albums in the past five days (including Father John Misty’s new benefit release Off-Key in Hamburg), so uh, I’m great personally.
This past Friday’s Bandcamp sale – which saw the site foregoing their own profit share of all sales for the day – generated plenty of enthusiasm for direct artist support, so don’t let the ambiance fade and consider supporting some of the local and national artists who would’ve been playing Boston this week under normal circumstances. (And don’t forget to virtually tip your bartenders and venue staff – Vanyaland has a complete list of ongoing local fundraisers.)
