Ovlov and friends played Great Scott – 12/20

The last of Allston Pudding’s December residency shows went down at Great Scott just before Christmas with Ovlov, Anna Altman, Mister Goblin and Alexander. 

Some measure of pre-holiday cheer was certainly coursing through the room on this Thursday evening. I’ve seen Connecticut noisemakers Ovlov plenty of times, but this late-December Great Scott crowd was most wildly enthusiastic one I’ve ever witnessed them draw. And the feeling seemed mutual – it was a particularly ferocious-sounding Ovlov show.

A solo set from Anna Altman‘s Lucia Arias rounded out the night alongside Mister Goblin – the very good new endeavor from Two Inch Astronaut’s Sam Woodring – and local indie pop project Alexander.
