AC/DC played Gillette Stadium – 8/22
Well it’s not every day you get to shoot AC/DC. The beloved Australian rockers opened their first U.S. tour in five years at Gillette Stadium on August 22nd, and I was on the scene for the Globe. Naturally, the show included a slew of the band’s classic rock radio staples, a healthy amount of fire and thousands of fans wearing glowing red devil horns. A stage that had to be well over 10 feet off the ground made shooting angles a bit challenging, but vocalist Brian Johnson and lead guitarist Angus Young poured enough charisma into their performances to make our allotted three songs a blast to shoot, regardless.
