Horse Jumper of Love, Wildhoney and Mini Dresses played Great Scott – 1/13

Disposable America and Anxiety Pop presented a stacked Saturday night bill in Allston.

Due to a prior commitment to see 15 minutes of a Lana Del Rey concert across town, this show was a last-minute call for me, but surely a worthwhile one. I wasn’t able to catch Strange Passage, who were first on the bill, but arrived just in time for Mini Dresses’ utterly charming dream pop. Wildhoney, hailing from Baltimore, brought my favorite on-again, off-again Boston band Swirlies to mind with their multilayered propulsive shoegaze. Boston trio Horse Jumper of Love, local bearers of the Codeine torch, closed things out to a packed house.

Check out photos from all three sets below.
