Gig Watch: February 2026

Shows not to miss in and around Boston for the month of February.
__________
Shortest month of the year, still packed with gigs. Some picks for this month below.
2/4 – Antarctigo Vespucci @ The Sinclair
Jeff Rosenstock and Chris Farren haven’t dropped a record with their exuberant power-pop project Antarctigo Vespucci in nearly 8 years, but they’re back on the road together for some shows this winter.
2/7 – Mdou Moctar @ Brighton Music Hall
Nigerien desert blues guitarist Mdou Moctar brings something a little different from his fiery full-band shows to town with a solo acoustic gig supporting the forthcoming acoustic rework of 2024’s excellent Funeral for Justice.
2/8 – Dan Deacon @ The Sinclair
Kaleidoscopic electronic producer Dan Deacon takes a break from his TV and film scoring work for a relatively rare live appearance in Harvard Square on Super Bowl Sunday.
2/12 – Agriculture @ The Sinclair
L.A.’s Agriculture released one of last year’s best metal records in the gnarly, genre-shredding The Spiritual Sound, and they’ll support it with a great bill at Sinclair that includes Tennessee grindcore crew Knoll and local post-metal greats Glacier.
2/13 – Nine Inch Nails @ TD Garden
If you missed the previous leg of NIN’s spellbinding “Peel It Back” tour last year, Trent and company are back for round two on Valentine’s weekend.
2/15 – The Black Heart Procession @ Sonia
Gothic slowcore cult-favorites The Black Heart Procession return to Greater Boston for their first area headlining show in nearly a decade.
2/19 – Rick from Pile / babybaby_explores / Dino Gala @ The Lilypad
Illegally Blind host a stacked local bill at the Lilypad to benefit the LUCE Immigrant Justice Network of MA.
2/20 – Puppy Problems / Emi McSwain / Hey, I’m Outside / Tiberius @ Deep Cuts
A quadruple bill of Boston favs in the alt-country/singer-songwriter zone takes over Friday night in Medford.
2/21 – Karate Steve / Knock Over City / Consumer / Blue Manic @ O’Brien’s Pub
Studio 52 presents another free matinee bill in Allston, this time leaning towards some heavier neighborhood sounds.
2/21 – Worshipper @ Deep Cuts
And why not keep it rolling with a nightcap at Deep Cuts, featuring local heavy metal rippers Worshipper and support from garage-psych maniacs Zip-Tie Handcuffs.
2/22 – Knobs @ State Park
State Park’s acclaimed beat night returns this month with an all-vinyl rap DJ set from Wontu and live sets by producers LDER and Dot Dev.
2/27 – Allston Pudding 15 Anniversary Show @ Brighton Music Hall
Enduring local music blog AP celebrates a decade and a half covering the Boston scene with a night featuring currently-and-formerly-local favs Sidney Gish, Beeef and Winkler.
2/27 – Landowner @ Deep Cuts
And, in what’s frankly a really difficult conflict for me personally, Western Mass post-punks Landowner celebrate the release of their new record north of the city with killer support from Rong, Balaclava and Dust Witch.
2/28 – Ratboys @ The Sinclair
Finally, closing out the month, jangly Chicago indie rockers Ratboys head back to town supporting their buzzed-about upcoming LP Singin’ to an Empty Chair with support from the delightful Florry.
