A late summer’s Allston recap

Looking back on some of the season’s noteworthy local gigs.

__________

I’ve been a little lax this summer on smaller-scale/local-focused show coverage here at Noise Floor – not that I haven’t been getting to gigs, but blogging on them has fallen by the wayside for a variety of reasons. I caught some heaters the last month or so in particular at dear old O’Brien’s Pub, but it’s October already and a busy calendar looms. Rather than backtrack across a ton of posts or forgo ’em altogether, I thought instead I’d throw together a little retrospective gallery for the summer’s end. Take a scroll from the blazing noise-punk of Miami’s Mold! and Slow Quit’s ten-ton shoegaze tones to Sweetie’s heartfelt rockers and the blissed-out jazziness of Five Feet. Click a few Bandcamps, buy a tape or something!
