Number 38 in a weekly series of Noise Floor-curated playlists. 

A lot of chaotic energy in this week’s mix (unemployment will do that to you), which first and foremost pays tribute to Gang of Four’s Andy Gill, who sadly passed on last week. Most of the band’s classic-era material is mysteriously missing from streaming at the moment, but this “Damaged Goods” from a rough-edged bootleg recorded right here in Boston will do in a pinch. Elsewhere this week, get brutalized by Uniform & The Body, Street Sects, Death and Dead in the Dirt, uplifted by The Avalanches, the new Chubby and the Gang (a banger despite that name) and The Paranoyds (who swung through ONCE on Monday night) before weeping the night away with Tindersticks.
