Scenes from the Boston Music Awards

Boston’s annual year-end awards show/mini-festival/scene summit went down at the House of Blues Wednesday night. 

The BMAs – perhaps the only awards show to have honored everyone from The Pixies and Morphine to Godsmack with its top honors over the years – honored the 2019 nominees and winners with a laser-filled evening at the House of Blues. The night was highlighted by live sets from (chronologically) Optic Bloom, Roy Juno, Hawthorn, Brandie Blaze, House of Harm, Future Teens, Jefe Replay, $ean Wire and Brockton hip-hop collective Van Buren, interspersed with a tribute to The Cars’ Ric Ocasek and – naturally – a whole bunch of awards (the full list of whose winners you can see here).
