Beeef played the Lilypad – 7/25

Allston heroes Beeef played a sweaty record-release show at Cambridge’s Lilypad with support from Pushflowers.

On the eve of the release of their new LP Bull in the Shade, jangly Boston quartet Beeef played the first of two celebratory shows at the Lilypad, where the faithful packed out the Inman Square spot to an almost alarming degree (literally – that room gets hot in July). Endurance of the high temperatures was rewarded with a front-to-back performance of the new record, plus a few oldies and a faithful triple-guitar cover of Built to Spill’s classic “Carry the Zero” with special guest and “Morning Light” music video director extraordinaire Andrew Gibson.
