Oneida played Landry’s Bicycles – 5/18
Long-running experimental rockers Oneida played a Boston Hassle-presented gig at Comm. Ave.’s big bike shop.
A chance for me to finally catch Oneida here in the fair city of Boston was excitement enough for a Saturday night, but having the gig staged in a weird venue rife with visual potential really sealed the deal (enough to convince me to bail on Uniform a little early). Numerous suspended cycles and the passing traffic through Landry’s wall of windows added some optical intrigue to a killer set by the hard-jamming Oneida, who still sounded massive as a pared-down trio.
