Minus the Bear played Paradise Rock Club – 10/30

Seattle’s Minus the Bear brought their farewell tour to the Paradise for the second of two sold-out nights just before Halloween, with support from Massachusetts post-rockers Caspian.
Math-y, prog-tinged indie rock mainstays Minus the Bear are hanging it up after a nearly two-decade run, but not without a proper final run of shows to give fans and band members a chance to say goodbye. The quintet’s final Boston date packed the Paradise on a late October Tuesday, with the band delivering a colorful, career-spanning set. The North Shore’s Caspian, who took on opening duties for the full October trek, offered a heavy, strobe-blasted counterpoint.

It’d been nearly five years to the day since my last Caspian show, and this was my first (/last) time with Minus the Bear – glad to catch them together on this autumn evening. Check out photos from both sets below.
