It’s become increasingly clear to me that between this blog, Allston Pudding, Tastemakers, social engagements and those classes I should probably be paying attention to, there isn’t enough time in my week to write a fully fleshed out review for every concert I attend. That doesn’t stop me from snapping photos though. Thus, I’m going to start posting photo galleries which won’t necessarily be attached to full-scale show reviews. Visual impressions minus words are still important!
The new Photos category will encompass both these posts and show reviews which include galleries.

The second coming of Michael Gira’s mighty Swans is on tour in support of this year’s gargantuan double album The Seer, bringing a pummeling and mild-altering two-and-a-half hour show to the Paradise on Thursday night. Gypsy-folk duo A Hawk and Hacksaw opened.
Legendary Canadian post-rock pioneers Godspeed You! Black Emperor are in the midst of their first full US tour in nearly a decade, which stopped over at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre last Monday night. Boston’s own Glenn Jones opened the show.
